Business Development Director/Manager

Job Description:

Deepblu is looking for an experienced and highly motivated business development/sales professional to join its Planet Deepblu business development team. The successful candidate for this position understands customer trends in the scuba industry, marine recreational services. You’ll be responsible for the negotiations and onboarding of travel products onto the Planet Deebplu platform. Responsibilities include identifying and developing new accounts while maintaining existing ones, developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans and executing these successfully, as well as achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.

Generous compensation package including Salary + commission commensurate with sales targets and quota.

  1. Build up and leverage a network to identify prospective customers of Dive Businesses, dive centers, dive resorts, shops & liveaboards.
  2. Develop strong knowledge of all Deepblu products and services in order to present a broad and persuasive value proposition to dive business partners.
  3. Recommend product, service and policy improvements based on customer feedback and market developments
  4. Manage and lead a team of Assistant Business Development Managers to achieve the product excellence.

Primary Functions:

  1. Build up and leverage a network to identify prospective customers of Dive Businesses, dive centers, dive resorts, shops & liveaboards.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or Bachelor degree in hospitality, business management or marketing preferred
  2. 5~6 years product or marketing experience in hospitality industry. Travel agency, airlines, hotels & resorts is highly preferred
  3. Familiar with travel related products, specifically on activities, tours, and transportation for North America and the Caribbean.
  4. Interest and passion for the Scuba lifestyle is a highly preferred
  5. You are sociable and effective at developing personal relationships.
  6. Native or near-native speaker of English, proficiency in Chinese is a plus
  7. Independent, enterprising and self-driven personality
